About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Paschal High school in Fort Worth in 1993. After that I attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville. I finished up at Hardin- Simmons University in Abilene December 1999.

Degrees and Certifications:

I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Reading. I have since earned an endorsement in Early Childhood Education and English As A Second Language.

Current Position:

I started teaching Pre-K at Shawnee Elementary in August of 2001. In 2002 I started teaching Reading Reinforcement (RR). I then moved to Kindergarten and then back to Pre-K.

I have been with the district for 21 years.

I am currently a Pre-K teacher.

Previous Position:

I previously taught Reading RTI in Olney for a year.

I taught preschool in Abilene, TX for Wylie Baptist Church from 1996 – 1999.

Family Information:

I married my husband Dax Freeman ( GHS Assistant Band Director) in October 1999.

We have two beautiful girls.

Cassidy attends Texas Tech and Majors in Music Education. She is a member of the Goin’ Band from Raiderland and Kappa Kappa Psi

Madison is a junior as GHS and plays baritone. She is very active in theater at school and at Graham Regional Theater. Madison is a member of First Baptist Church Worship praise team and the youth worship team.
